In 2014, we started a new tradition in Cali, hiking to Las Tres Cruces. In 2015 we took our second climb.
The trek starts in a humble neighborhood on the north side of the city.
Along the way you'll find many hikers, motorcycles, and little stores selling snacks.
About a quarter way up, the pavement ends and a dirt trail begins. From here you start to see some amazing views of the city. At this point the climb becomes more challenging.
After reaching the top, your greeted by three giant crosses. The whole trek can take between 50 minutes (our first time) and 1 hour 20 minutes (this time).
At the top, a number of venders are selling freshly squeezed juices and snacks.
For the hike down, we chose a different path. This trail gave us a chance to see a different view of the city. The round trip time for this hike is between 2-3 hours.
